Unconvinced, US Yahoo Wants Reexamination to Dismount Chongqing Fayhoo

  www.fayhoo.com of Southwest Securities is the first securities exchange website in China that involves securities traders, banks and web, and has been ranked among the Ten Finest Websites in China for two years and has developed to be one of the strongest platforms for on-line trade of securities in China. In December 2001, US Yahoo dissented from Southwest Securities’ application for the trademark FAYHOO. This May, the National Trademark Office disagreed with Yahoo, and consented to check and register the trademark FAYHOO.

  At present, the Southwest Securities Corporation Limited has received notice from the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board of State Administration for Industry and Commerce that Chongqing FAYHOO was obliged by US Yahoo to plead for itself again. Yahoo has attached much importance to this reexamination, for the demonstrating material for reexamination has over 1,000pages. As the statement in the prior written judgment Yahoo as a world-famous trademark has not been accepted as convincing, Yahoo has strengthened corresponding evidence in its application material, the evidence including its rank among global websites and the protected records of Yahoo in every country around the world etc.
