In order to meet the demand of foreign clients, the Patent Search and Service System of SIPO added seven language versions in addition to the previous Chinese and English versions, respectively Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese and French, whose systems were officially launched on April 27.

It was learned that Patent Search and Service System was a comprehensive patent service system with patent search and analysis function, and it was built by SIPO for convenience of the public to learn about relevant information about patent as well as to provide better patent information services. Since its launching in 2011，it gained great popularity among the public. In consideration of the needs of foreign users, based on a full analysis of the users’ using habits and characteristics of different languages, SIPO has provided brand-new UI design in the system and improved users’ experience, on the premise of ensuring the function and application of the system. After the launch of this seven-language system, users of these languages are able to use the patent search and analysis function of the system as well as to timely learn system upgrade and data updating.

It is known that through constant improvement and development, the Patent Search and Service System of SIPO has so far added a number of functions, including one-stop retrieval, SDI search on drugs, drilling retrieval, drilling analysis, patent application platform and multi-languages version, etc.
