How many applications for invention patent did CNIPA accept in 2020?

The first month of the year is the time to summarize the work we did in the past year. We prepare this episode for the fans of statistics.
In 2020, China granted 530,000 invention patents, according to the statistics released by CNIPA in its latest press conference.
China received 72,000 PCT applications, 67,000 of which were filed by domestic applicants.
In patent field, China granted 2.377 million utility model and 732,000 industrial design patents respectively. 48,000 patent reexamination cases were concluded and 7,000 invalidation cases were announced concluded, up 28.9% and 34.1% respectively year-on-year.
In trademark field, the number of registered trademarks in China was 5.761 million. China contributed 7,553 international trademark filings under the Madrid System. China examined 149,000 trademark dispute cases, up 64.7% and concluded 358,000 trademark review and adjudication cases, up 7.8%.
For geographical indications (GI), China received ten applications for GI protection and approved six GI products. In parallel, 1,052 businesses were certified to use a GI symbol and 765 GI trademarks were registered.
For Integrated circuit layout design, a total of 14,375 applications were received, and 11,727 certificates were issued, increasing by 72.8% and 77.3% respectively compared with last year.
In 2020, the quality and efficiency of China's IP examination were continued to be enhanced. China shortened its examination period to 20 months for invention patent, 6.4 months for utility model, 3.2 months for design, and 4 months for trademark registration.
On average, CNIPA spent 14.1 months on the conclusion of patent reexamination cases, 6.6 months on reexamination collegiate review, and 5.9 months on petition for invalidation cases.
So, how many applications for invention patent did CNIPA accept in 2020? CNIPA did not disclose the total number, but we checked the previous statistics and found that 1.403 million invention patent applications were filed from Jan. 2020 to Nov. 2020. So it can be presumed that the total number of 2020 should be larger than 1.403 million.
